Designated Examiner Training

This four-hour course provides classroom training and practical exercises for acceptance by the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center as a Designated Trainer for Towing Officer Assessment Record (TOAR).

Use of Kongsberg simulators

Includes formal techniques in observation and assessment

Meets the training requirements listed in Title 46 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 10.405, and described in USCG Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) 03-16, paragraph 5.c.2
